Climbing Lifes Mountains

I remember when I was about four or so and my babysitter Christy Nance came over to watch me and she brough along her little brother…Skylar. He had a Nintendo, and to a four year old a Nintendo is about the coolest thing that there is……..and therefore, its owner is too. In short, this was the beginning of a lifelong friendship between me and Skylar.

We decided we had to do something great to celebrate my return from the mission and we decided on an epic trip to Hawaii. Skylar came to visit these last few weeks and they rocked. WE DID A TON. We swam, we hiked to two waterfalls, we cliff jumped and even jumped off one twenty footer naked at night with a group of friends, We camped on the beach, we danced at a fun school dance, we went to pearl harbor, we hiked the insanely steep “stairway to heaven”, we surfed, we ate shave ice, we kayaked, we fished, we explored some smaller islands, we night swam, we night surfed, ………in short we did it all. One of our favorite thing we did was hike chinamans hat, a small island about a half mile off shore.

See we climbed it and decided to pretty much forget the normal trail and climb the hardest part.

Still we were victorious and after kayaking to the island, making a steep climb we reached the top.

See that’s been our story. Me and Skylar have been climbing the mountain of life since the beginning…..and we have done all of it together. Good times bro!
